THE COST OF CHAOS: WHEN LEADERS UNDERMINE LAW ENFORCEMENT
I am deeply frustrated by the so-called “peaceful protests” currently taking place in Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, and other cities across the country. I’m also saddened to hear that an even larger protest is being planned for Saturday, the 14th.
It’s a troubling day in America when political agendas seem to outweigh the safety and security of U.S. citizens. While there are certainly illegal immigrants who may deserve the opportunity to remain here under specific circumstances, it’s equally valid to argue that if you are here illegally, you are violating the law and should be held accountable.
Regardless of where one stands on that debate, federal, state, and local agencies—including ICE, the National Guard, and local law enforcement—should be working together, not at odds. ICE is enforcing the laws passed by Congress. If those laws need to be changed, that’s the responsibility of Congress—not the officers tasked with upholding them. Law enforcement officers risk their lives every day and deserve our support and clarity from leadership.
Leaders like Gavin Newsom, J.B. Pritzker, and others must stop putting officers in dangerous, no-win situations. Their inaction and contradictory messaging could lead to serious injuries or deaths—on either side of the line. That’s unacceptable.
These protests are not peaceful. Police officers are being assaulted with bricks, water bottles, fireworks, and other dangerous objects. We’re once again seeing looted stores, torched vehicles, vandalized property, and masked individuals interfering with law enforcement.
Don’t allow a few foolish protesters—likely paid actors or professional agitators—to create chaos across the country simply because they disagree with the law or are being paid to incite violence. It’s time to investigate who is funding these riots and hold them accountable for inciting unrest.
I find it hard to believe that any reasonable person—Democrat, Republican, or otherwise—would support the idea of protecting individuals here illegally who have been arrested for crimes like murder, rape, child abuse, or domestic violence. How can anyone believe we are safer with these individuals back on the streets? We either enforce the laws as they are written or work through the process to change them. If your elected officials aren’t representing your best interests, vote them out.
On a lighter note, I had the chance to attend a Greg Gutfeld show this weekend, and it was excellent. Tom Shillue and Greg were their usually hilarious selves, with a strong and refreshing conservative slant. Greg also announced that Kat Timpf will return to the show on Monday, June 16, 2025. What an incredible return that will be! After everything she’s been through, she’s proven to be tough as nails—despite her small stature. I suppose the same could be said for Greg. LOL
