What timing. Two days before the Republican National Convention starts, some moron tries to assassinate Trump in Butler PA. He managed to get one glancing blow off Trump’s right ear, but shot three other people, one fatally before being taken out by the Secret Service.

I erroneously assumed the shooter might be Hillary in drag, but later learned this moron was just a twenty-year old kid. His actions would indicate he was a confused and troubled young man. 

It occurs to me whatever his issue was for Trump that would cause him to attempt an assassination of a former President might possibly be laid at the feet of the media for their non-stop biased coverage. This is just a hunch on my part as I have no idea how much said moron kept up on the news. But one has to admit, nowadays media coverage is wall-to-wall non-stop, and usually biased. If violence and porn can negatively affect kids, one would think biased news coverage might also. Recall Jake Tapper of CNN comparing Trump to Hitler. What affect will the non-stop footage of a bloodied Trump getting up from the podium have on children now.

Even after the shooting, CNN was blaming Trump for the heated rhetoric of the race.  But this is what passes for journalism today – just last Friday in Detroit, Biden called Trump a rapist, convict, and a cheater.

I was shocked and nearly speechless when I heard about the shooting. While waiting to hear if he was ok, I was almost sick. Then I got mad, and well, just about the entire gamut of emotions one goes through with something like this. We were on our way to have dinner with friends and my heart really wasn’t in it, I wanted to know about my president.

In two recent commentaries I brought up the chance that Trump would be shot before he got to the Oval Office again. On 5-27, I wrote “Just then a shot rings out from the back of the studio. Trump ducks just as the bullet whizzes by his head… And on 6-1 I wrote, “…Democrats will try to assassinate him. They’re running out of options.”

Even though I half expected it, it was jarring and mind numbing when it happened. Yes, it could be supposed that the moron who tried to assassinate him was not part of some larger cabal or a special envoy for the Clinton’s, and he acted alone for reasons only he took with him to Hell. I doubt we ever find out.

Still there is this lingering doubt that just possibly there is “something” there.

For example:

• How did the Secret Service fail at having a man on the building the moron when the shooting began. It was merely 150 yards away from Trump, sitting between two other buildings they were guarding.
• Was this simply an oversight by a secret service coordinator or another corrupt rogue left-leaning bureaucrat with Trump Derangement Syndrome purposely allowing anyone on top of that building, regardless of the danger to Trump?
• Why did the police and secret service not follow up when bystanders pointed out there was a man crawling up the roof at the building with a gun.  
• Was Trump’s secret service detail reduced after Mississippi Rep, Bennie Thompson, who was also the former chair of the corrupt J6 Committee proposed legislation to remove the Secret Service detail from Trump.
• Speaking of Thompson, after the shooting one of his aides, Jacquelin Marsaw, a Black woman posted she wished the shooter had gotten shooting lessons, so he didn’t miss next time.  It was said she was fired, but I’m doubting it.  

Even though there are a lot of corrupt agencies involved with this matter, my criticism does not implicate the Secret Service agents near the stage. Their reactions were incredible. I will never forget how they huddled around Trump to protect him, using their bodies as shields.

Now the FBI has been tasked with the investigation of the shooting which gives me no satisfaction we will ever know the truth. The top echelons of the FBI are corrupt and cannot be trusted. Who knows what facts will be dug up giving Director Wray the option of handpicking what will be allowed for us schmucks to see, or what might be buried. I trust gas station sushi more than the FBI.

The Secret Service is guilty of a massive dereliction of duty for this assassination attempt. The question is by who’s direction. It will be interesting to see how this matter unwraps, if it does. It would not surprise me if it were buried much like the way the John F. Kennedy assassination investigation was muddled. It will surprise me if we ever find out the whole truth because in the end, politicians and their supporting bureaucracy are not trustworthy.
