Well, now that "Beelzebub" Kavanaugh has been confirmed as our nations 114th Supreme Court Justice, the Left and the media can get back to scouring the earth for the elusive Trump - Russia connection which cheated Hillary out of her coronation.
After eight years of Obama forging the way to take our country towards "Democratic Socialism," which smells quite a bit like just plain Socialism, the table was set for Hillary to take over the wheel and drive the final stake in the heart of that pesky Constitution those doddering old fools set in place back in 1775.
Then a funny thing happened, the ingenious Electoral College also conceived by those "old fools" prevented the folks from New York and California from putting Hillary in the Oval Office. Want to bet some Democrat (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?) tries to abolish the Electoral College in the near future?
President Trump has replaced two justices on the SCOTUS and more than likely will nominate a third, replacing an elderly Justice Ginsburg. After experiencing the theatrics that was the Kavanaugh confirmation, the next one ought to be a real dogfight, making the Bork, Thomas, and Kavanaugh circuses look like a kumbaya moment. Surely the next nominee will be accused of hiding bodies in her basement, as the rape angle didn’t work.
We shouldn’t deny Ms. Ford’s allegation - I trust someone did something to her at a young age. But to wait 30-36 years after the fact and expect people to rely on recollections from that long ago, without any corroborating evidence, and at the expense of another person's integrity, stretches credibility. The bedrock of our justice system is innocent until proven guilty, courtesy of those "old fools." It can't work any other way.
The real tragedy is that Ms. Ford was taken advantage of again...36 years after the fact. This time there is no doubt who took advantage of her - Senators Feinstein and Schumer.
The 85-year-old Feinstein could have prevented dragging Ms. Ford and Mr. Kavanaugh's name through a national spectacle, but she chose partisan political gamesmanship instead of the high road. She knew of Ms. Fords allegation back in July, before Kavanaugh was nominated, which could have been quietly investigated. Instead, she waited until the eleventh hour, when the Democratic party had used up all measures to block what appears to be a candidate whose only fault was to be nominated by Trump.
Feinstein, who was unaware of a Chinese spy working for her for 20 years, will be replaced soon and America will be better off. I hope everyone will remember her collection of comrades casting aspersions of Kavanaugh's credibility.
Richard Blumenthal was one. He's the man who claimed to be a Viet Nam vet when actually he received five deferments and never set foot on a battlefield. Then there was US Senator, Mazi Hirono telling all men to just shut up. Or how about Cory “Spartacus” Booker, who wants to be president, playing the race card?
Our own Dick Durbin, who never saw a tax bill he didn’t want to pass, actually thought Kavanaugh, the Republican party, and most of America was dumb enough to “suspend” the hearings until he was given all documents and a chance to review them. Like we're too ignorant to realize he and his comrades would have gotten around to that sometime in 2020.
The wealthy Sheldon Whitehouse grilled Kavanaugh over his High School Yearbook postings, interrogating him for silly shenanigans seventeen-year-old kids wrote. This is what passes for serious hearings in DC now?
The real reprobate was the man setting the agenda on the left side of the Senate, puppet master Chuck Schumer from New York. I wrote about his questionable activities in a January 2017 blog, when he announced intention to hold up Trumps first SCOTUS pick, Neil Gorsuch...before being nominated.
Schumer has never had a job outside of government – a career path I find rather repulsive – perpetually living off taxpayer money. Schumer repeatedly stood on the Senate floor, imploring, shaming, and whining to whoever would listen of the perils of putting a man like Kavanaugh on the SCOTUS. Comparing the two men, one is a highly rated justice and the other plays political games. Bob Dole once advised the most dangerous place to be in DC is between Chuck Schumer and a television camera.
Mr. Schumer, the “low moment” you referenced regarding Kavanaugh is the way you turned the US Senate and our justice system into a three-ring circus. In the immortal words of Joseph Welch when addressing Senator Joe McCarthy in 1954, "Have you no decency?"
